Lying is not for you a Christian!

Lying Is Not For You A Christian!

17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Proverbs 20:17 King James Version (KJV)

You know that moment you completely forgot about something, you intended to do it and all of a sudden it skipped your mind and you don’t want to sound irresponsible. Then, something within decides to tell a lie to escape the situation!
Well, that’s wrong; lying is wrong. A lie is a lie no matter what it looks like. Even though it saves your head, you deny JESUS, who is the truth, that you never knew HIM!

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33 King James Version (KJV)

When you tell a lie, you claim you don’t know JESUS. At the same time, HE claims HE doesn’t know you if anything happens and you find yourself on the other side (when you die), immediately!

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23 King James Version (KJV)

Is it worth it? When JESUS said you should carry your cross and follow HIM, HE meant it! The CHRIST-like lifestyle is needed daily, and lying is something, you can do without, as a Christian. It is not impossible; pray about it, discipline yourself, be responsible and avoid situations that tempt you to lie! When you grow every day in spending time with JESUS, you get the power to quit sin, to learn more, click this link bit.ly/1Ehhg8I

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26 King James Version (KJV)

You can make the HOLY SPIRIT your reminder. It's HIS duty to remind us of all things; tell HIM to remind you about anything, and HE surely will. I have tried and it works!
Sometimes you may not lie with your words, but your actions that are not CHRIST-like will prove to others that you are not a Christian! How horrible will it be for someone to ask around whether you’re a Christian, and people say you obviously aren't one!

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13 King James Version (KJV)

#Prayer Points: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].  John 14:14

1. LORD, help me to stop lying, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
Psalm 119:29 King James Version (KJV)

2. LORD, help me listen to the SPIRIT of TRUTH, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psalm 143:10 King James Version (KJV)

3. LORD, thank you for the wonderful election, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5:20

4. LORD, thank you for the wonderful regime ahead, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
Psalms 50:14

JESUS hates the double minded

JESUS Hates The Double Minded

17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards  his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Proverbs 20:17 King James Version (KJV)

Lying… scheming…. cheating…. deceit…. corruption…. and many more, always seems good…. We get away with a lot of wrongs and assume we are smart, at the end of the day it will result into something terrible.

31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 King James Version (KJV)

It never pays to outsmart GOD. He may not be directly in charge of your taxes, tests or exams, or, badly enough, it might be tithing and offering, in which you are trying to outdo GOD; you will end up paying for it.  Everything done has to Glorify HIS NAME. When you try to cheat your way through, you will end up paying for it at the end.

6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 31:6 King James Version (KJV)

It may not seem easy doing it the right way, but stick to it and ensure you avoid cheating. Keep to the #STANDARDS of GOD, for it pays. The pressure may be on you to do wrong, avoid it, don’t travel that road, it is dangerous. GOD punishes people who are HIS, who end up practicing evil….

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Hebrews 12:6 King James Version (KJV)

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:8 King James Version (KJV)

If you are a Christian, stand to be one. Don’t be double minded, you are giving the devil a free chance to be in your life. GOD doesn’t take half-baked products, it is either raw or finished goods.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 2:21 King James Version (KJV)

17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 4:17 King James Version (KJV)

The scriptures above explain clearly, it is better if you were not saved and you do the wrongs you are doing than for you to be saved and purposefully commit sin.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luke 12:47 King James Version (KJV)

JESUS hates it when you are lukewarm; you cannot be tagged as a Christian or an unbeliever. It is important that GOD and everyone around you know you are a Christian through and through.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:16 King James Version (KJV)

As long as you have made up your mind to serve CHRIST, hold on to HIS #GRACE HE will surely see you through!

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 King James Version (KJV)

#Prayer Points: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].  John 14:14

1. LORD, I thank you for my salvation, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Psalms 7:17

2. LORD, let me automatically obey you in my heart, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Psalm 86:11 King James Version (KJV)

3. Thank YOU LORD for a great and awesome Election, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high. Psalms 7:17

4. Let’s thank GOD for healing our world of diseases like Ebola and cancer, IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14

Being a talebearer and flatterer in character will ruin your reputation.

Being A Talebearer And Flatterer Ruins Your Reputation.

19 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.
Proverbs 20:19King James Version (KJV)

You can’t keep secrets…. the Nigerian way of describing that is, "Amebo"; you always say things you don’t know or you are not meant to say! That's how I was described as a teenager because it reflected my character. Well, I never prayed about it but was dealt with as I got closer to GOD. I became a person who doesn't say much but people keep pouring out their secrets to me and I used to ask myself, why? Well, the answer is simple; CHRIST fixed me!

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)

When you tell someone’s secrets, people will call you a talebearer. Sometimes, the person who told you will deny it, and you become a liar, also known as a talebearer.
Well, whether we like it or not, some people are talebearers, always telling others things that are not true or twisting facts. It is so wrong for a Christian to be a talebearer, someone who no one can confine in. Being a Christian, you have the ability to provide an answer that can heal a lot of broken hearts, provide solutions, give advice, but when the opportunity arises, ensure that you are not spilling secrets, for it will tarnish your reputation. Hence, you will be denied the opportunity to use CHRIST as a solution when you provide counsel.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
Psalm 12:3 King James Version (KJV)

There are critical situations when someone reveals a secret to you, and you can’t provide a solution (may be the person is in danger or suffering silently), make sure you pray about it and tell someone, especially when the situation is beyond you. Don’t keep it to yourself; tell someone who can help, not another friend who won’t have a clue. You can tell the Pastor, Counselor, Doctor or just anyone who knows what to do. Pray about the issue asking GOD for wisdom on how to go about it.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
James 1:5 King James Version (KJV)

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
Proverbs 28:23 King James Version (KJV)

GOD hates flattery. Saying things that we don’t see, or making someone feel good when you should say the plain truth. At the end of the day, the truth lasts longer than flattery, which also means when lying, y   ou are saying things that are not true, and on top of it all, GOD hates liars….

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8 King James Version (KJV)

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
James 1:26 King James Version (KJV)

You can’t claim to be Christian and not know how to control your words. It’s important you know how to talk.  When preaching, don’t reveal other people’s stories. Sometimes you may not be saying the person’s name but, still, the person may feel bad. You are revealing his/her secrets to the world and are comfortable with it. As a Christian, watch your words carefully for we will account for them.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Matthew 12:36 King James Version (KJV)

If you don’t know how to keep secrets, start with praying and telling GOD everything, and HE will heal you…..
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Proverbs 10:19 King James Version (KJV)

Well, there has to be some self-discipline. Don’t talk too much. You don’t have to say everything. I have started to discipline myself whereby, “If I can’t connect the situation with JESUS, or if I talk and my words will promote sin, I keep quiet”. That way, I don’t say things I am not meant to say. Yes, you may have few or no friends, but you will end up being responsible with your words.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:8 King James Version (KJV)

As we grow as Christians, we find out there are some issues we never really told GOD about, but HE fixed them. Well, it’s because we decided to believe and improved our relationship with HIM so our lives obviously became be better.

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26 King James Version (KJV)

#Prayer Points: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].  John 14:14

1. LORD, help me to stop bearing tales and quit flattery, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

2 And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
2 Samuel 22:2 King James Version (KJV)

2. LORD, help me to be a trustworthy person, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10 King James Version (KJV)

3. LORD, help me to be prudent in matters, and always reply people with #WISDOM from you, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
Psalms 37:5

4. LORD, help Nigeria throughout the electoral process, and elect the right people peacefully, IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Respect your parents! Proverbs 20:20

Respect Your Parents! Proverbs 20:20

20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Proverbs 20:20 King James Version (KJV)

Yes, parents may sometimes upset you. Nevertheless, this does not mean in any way that you should insult, or be rude to them. GOD takes leadership very seriously, and the person HE decides to put over you, must be respected with utmost regard! Don’t be sly to your parents, it doesn’t reflect well on you, as a Christian!

For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
Psalm 18:28 King James Version (KJV)

Your parents are the ones GOD chose to bring you into this world. By being rude to them, they cannot obviously decide to take you out of the world, but GOD can…. David prayed to GOD to light HIS candle…… It is up to GOD to determine that your life be lightened.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16 King James Version (KJV)

For you to begin shining in life, there must be a light in your life, and disobeying your parents in plain words turns off the light in your life.
Well, some people claim their parents force them to do what is against the will of GOD: like take up a religion, lie, or just do what is plain wrong. As a Christian, you have decided to follow CHRIST…..

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39 King James Version (KJV)

Nothing should come between you and the #LOVE of CHRIST. Let them know you love them and you are loyal to them, but anything against JESUS and HIS will for your life is a no-go area!

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:37 King James Version (KJV)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Ephesians 6:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

The secret to a successful life comes from obeying and loving your parents…. I remember when I was young and I would disobey my parents, my dad would always read to me Ephesians 6:1-3, to align me in GOD’S way.  He also reads the following passage to us (his children) sometimes…

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4 King James Version (KJV)

Saying, "If in any way you've been offended by our actions, let us (our parents) know”.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20 King James Version (KJV)

There is no way you can claim you love the LORD and not forgive. Learn to obey and love your parents. You cannot claim to love without obedience. Christianity comes with obedience to the last letter.

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
Proverbs 1:9-10

The benefits of listening and adhering to your parents are just endless and it’s a regulation and law of GOD from HIS WORD……

#Prayer Points: 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:14 King James Version (KJV)

1. LORD, help me to obey and love my parents no matter the situations or actions against me as a Christian, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 King James Version (KJV)

2. LORD, give me a heart that loves my parents unconditionally, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

9 [Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 [Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:9-10

3.  LORD, help Nigeria throughout the electoral process, and elect the right people peacefully, IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
