Joy in Death? “his”

We don’t know where we are going, but they do, can you see the certainty in their face and joy in their hearts? Nik Ripken describes the Muslim official, who travelled thousands of miles to come see him and his family, during the burial ceremony of their son. Nik is a guy who tries to preach the Gospel in dangerous parts of the world like Somalia, places where Christians could be numbered and are hunted to be killed. **(It’s in his book and movie Insanity of GOD)

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Philippians 3:10

The death of CHRIST is not one to be envied but the reason is one we all should embrace, as fanatics. To be a Christian is to be like CHRIST, evidently it’s also to be Philippians 3:10, wanting to be and know the heart of JESUS, including HIS death. Not to just know, but to be a part of it!

Often times this is where the rubber meets the road for many, the straw that breaks the Carmel’s back. But death is beautiful, JESUS did it for the Glory that HE will attain, remember despising the shame…

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 King James Version (KJV)

Imagine a four year old thinking all there is to life is about here and now, not knowing there is still time for her, like in 30s, 40s 50s and so on to live up her life, but instead she gets caught up in the moment!! That’s what we do with our lives, we need to understand that this life is not our eternity, and death is the exit to the great beyond, and we should not be frightened about it, but love to know JESUS more even to the manifestation of the end “Death”. Here is not our home…

Prayer Point

LORD don’t let my heart be afraid of death
