Dear Christian,
You’re Harmless, But Be Wise
16 Take
his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a
strange woman.
Proverbs 20:16 King James Version (KJV)
As a Christian, you have to be smart. The verse above
illustrates that, when you see that someone you know is about to do something dubious,
help out and take his/her “garment” (which means something belonging to him/her)
and a pledge (meaning money). When he/she is done with being duped, you will
have something to give him/her after he/she has ruined his/her finance and life
at large! It simply means looking out for a fellow Christian.
16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise
as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16 King James Version (KJV)
As a follower of CHRIST, many count it as being a fool; you
easily forgive and give. Be smart and use your common sense. You cannot be a
guarantor for someone you clearly don’t know. People have been duped because
they took a stand for someone they knew, how much more can you be duped by someone
you don’t know? Wake up my fellow Christians, don’t get involved in the tricks
of this world, and don’t waste your time with time-wasters who trick you into
debating the word because they know you, as a Christian, will always listen to
what they have to say!
4 Answer
not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Proverbs 26:4 King James Version (KJV)
Be sharp, as a Christian, and don’t be too nice that you can
be fooled and scammed! The text above (Proverbs 20:16) illustrates a man doing
business with a strange woman, let us wake up to the tricks of phony people of
the opposite sex. If you’re not comfortable, always refer the issue involving
the opposite sex to someone, especially of the same gender and/or superior. It
is not normal when they always want to meet you alone, call you at night, or find
ways to separate you from everyone. In addition, be weary of people who always
have problems, no good news at all, it is a terrible thing!
7 Casting
all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7 King James Version (KJV)
Next time refer them to JESUS, HE is the one that bears
burdens, not you!
14 And
the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord.
15 And
Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and
the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
16 And
it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with
them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt
among them.
Joshua 9:14-16
Some people (the inhabitants of Gibeon) who were afraid that
they would be killed by the Israelites (under the leadership of Joshua) as they
claimed their promised land, deceived the people of Israel (because they failed
to seek GOD before making decisions) by lying that they were from a far land
and wanted to know GOD. Later, the Israelites found out that they were on the
list of people to be killed when claiming the promised land!
3 But
Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy
Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles
it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not
lied unto men, but unto God.
Acts 5:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
A close relationship with GOD helps you recognize what is
wrong or right, instantly!
26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my
name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26 King James Version (KJV)
Immediately you are facing something in your mind you are
not sure about, pray, and consult the HOLY SPIRIT. Remember when Ananias and
Sapphira tried to deceive the apostles, immediately the HOLY SPIRIT spoke
through Peter, they died! No one should trick you, for you stand for the all-knowing
GOD. Don’t try to be too smart; you can’t do it on your own!
6 Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6 King James Version (KJV)
#Prayer Points: 14 If ye shall ask any
thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:14 King James Version (KJV)
1. LORD, help me always come to you in prayer for anything,
IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.
5 Trust
in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In
all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
2. LORD, ARISE and let all plans of the enemy against the
youths fail, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.
68 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered:
let them also that hate him flee before him.
Psalm 68:1 King James Version (KJV)
3. Let us thank GOD for HE has won over the purpose and plan
of Nigeria, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
